Venus is Earth’s “sister planet,” similar in size but far hotter, with a crushing carbon dioxide atmosphere that creates a runaway greenhouse effect, making it the solar system’s hottest planet hot enough to melt lead, despite being second from the Sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
